Baltimore - established April 25th, 2007

Leslie launched the Baltimore Chapter in May, 2007. She was drawn to the organization by her two daughters who have taught her about the challenges of life—one lives with multiple disabilities from a rare chromosome abnormality and one cares for children with illness as a pediatrician. For the past ten years, she has worked in Volunteer Management at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. In addition to managing more than 600 volunteers, she also runs a summer program for more than 70 high students from across the state of Maryland. In 2001, Leslie was the founder and creative director of Fish Out of Water, a public art exhibit that raised $675,000 for youth programs in the city of Baltimore. She graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Psychology and continued with course work in interior design at the University of Maryland.
