Paola Abello

Boston - established September 1st, 2006

Paola launched the Boston Chapter in September of 2006 at the Floating Hospital for Children and now also serves Children's Hospital Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital. In the past few years she has gained a tremendous amount through her involvement, hearing uplifting stories and being able to give families a beautiful gift thanks to Flashes of Hope. Paola has over ten years experience working with startup ventures in various sectors, applying her marketing and operations skills to help grow and develop programs and organizations. Paola's first entrepreneurial venture was in the food industry where she successfully competed with well known national franchises. She later moved on to manage a commercial real estate portfolio in Florida. As part of a venture philanthropy organization in Boston she helped direct over $400,000 in grants and managed dozens of
nonprofit consulting projects. Paola Abello is currently a principal of Spartacus Capital, launching a fair trade Fund. She also worked in a COO capacity for the GRCM Fund overseeing the Fund's regulatory compliance and grant making operations. Ms. Abello graduated from Boston College with a degree in Finance & Economics and received her MBA from Babson College in 2001.
