Carla Mooney

Pittsburgh - established April 24th, 2008

In April 2008, Carla became the Chapter Director at Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital. Her son, Daniel, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in October 2006, and is responding well to treatment. Through Daniel's treatment, Carla met several families touched by Flashes of Hope and was inspired to bring the program to Pittsburgh. Carla started her career as an accountant, working for Arthur Andersen, CIGNA, and Lordi Consulting.
However, after Daniel's diagnosis, Carla switched her focus and is now a freelance writer, specializing in writing for children. Carla graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Accounting and Finance.
