John Cordeiro

Teresa and John Cordeiro are from Tiverton, RI. Teresa works as a Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration and John works in Sales for a wholesale auto glass distributor. We were first inspired by Flashes of Hope in March 2008, when our three daughters were photographed at Floating Hospital for Children in Boston, MA. Our youngest daughter Megan was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in December 2006 and was immediately admitted to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI, where she spent the majority of the next 8 months as an inpatient. Following Megan’s last chemo treatment she relapsed, which in turn brought us to Floating Hospital for Children where in September 2007, she received a Bone Marrow Transplant from her eldest sister, Chelsea. Unfortunately Megan relapsed once again in April 2008 and lost her battle to this insidious disease on June 5, 2008. Those precious photos of Meg, Chelsea, and Sarah are the last pictures taken of our girls. We will cherish them always. Our goal is to bring many beautiful smiles to these wonderful children and their families at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
