Dana Hudepohl
Tampa Bay - established April 1st, 2007
The father-daughter team of Marc Silbiger and Dana Hudepohl were named Tampa Bay Chapter Co-directors in December 2009, succeeding Joseph Gamble who founded the chapter in 2007 and continues to volunteer as a photographer. Marc and Dana began volunteering with the chapter after they read about Flashes in a People magazine article.
Dana, who also grew up in Cleveland, graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor’s in Communication and a Master’s in Sociology. She is a freelance writer specializing in health. Her work has appeared in numerous national publications including The Wall Street Journal, Salon, Reader’s Digest, Prevention, Good Housekeeping, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Redbook. She served as a contributing editor to Shape, helped launch CosmoGIRL and is a contributor to Money. Prior to joining Flashes, she visited hospital patients of all ages with her Australian shepherd, Randi, a certified pet therapy dog.
