Rhonda Silver

The Valerie Fund - established April 1st, 2008

Rhonda Silver has worn many hats throughout her professional life. Starting out as a CPA, both at an accounting firm and in private industry, she made a switch to business journalism after several years. When Rhonda decided she wanted the fulfillment that working in the nonprofit sector could bring, she segued into grantwriting, opening her own firm, Gemma Consultants, in September 2000.

Rhonda has served on several nonprofit boards, all in leadership positions: Partners for Women and Justice, providing free legal services in family law matters to low-income women, many of whom are the victims of domestic abuse; Montclair Volunteer Ambulance Unit; Congregation Beth Ahm of West Essex; and Parents Association of the Montclair Kimberley Academy.

Rhonda has a BA in Economics from Rutgers University where she graduated with high honors, and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
