Children with cancer are smiling today at a Flashes of Hope shoots. Our dedicated volunteer chapter directors coordinate photo shoots within the nation's top hospitals and at special events for children with cancer. Whether photographing one child isolated in a bone marrow unit or a hundred kids having fun at summer camp, it's an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Susan Lichwala

Susan has lived in the Boston area her entire life. She found about Flashes of Hope while looking for a volunteer opportunity after her youngest left for college and she was home alone all day with the dog! Having spent many years volunteering with the Saugus National Little League and numerous parent/teacher organizations, it seemed like a perfect match of available time and experience with children. Susan has been organizing shoots since April of 2015 and is excited to be the official Chapter Director!
