Children with cancer are smiling today at a Flashes of Hope shoots. Our dedicated volunteer chapter directors coordinate photo shoots within the nation's top hospitals and at special events for children with cancer. Whether photographing one child isolated in a bone marrow unit or a hundred kids having fun at summer camp, it's an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Eric Hason has been shooting for Flashes of Hope since 2010 and was named Co-Director of the New York Chapter in 2014. Eric, a native New Yorker living in Brooklyn has been a professional fashion photographer since 2002 (his third and final career, do what you love!). Eric has a long history working with children in his spare time; literacy volunteer with the NYC Board of Ed, big brother through Catholic Big Brothers, and has hosted 5 foreign exchange students through AFS. Given Eric's passion for photography and kids, Flashes of Hope is a natural fit.
